In my group there are, Laura, Perry, Sam and myself.
Perry is going to be playing the main character, which is a retro dancer.
Sam is going to be playing another dancer but he is Perry's rival and is a Latino guy who is very over the top.
Laura and I are going to be doing the camera work and playing the extras.
The film genre is a comedy and it is intended for 15 and over.
The film is about two misfit dancers (Perry being the main character), they love to dance and its all they have grown up with. They both enter a competition and know that they have to beat one another. They are arch rivals and do not want to lose out to each other more than anything else. The film follows their training and the lead up to the competition. It doesn't take dancing seriously and you will find it hard not to laugh.
The setting for this film is in a small town where there are posters up for the dance competition.

Our preliminary exercise video-evaluation
Over all on this task I feel my group managed to achieve what we had to. It was easy to decide how we are going to do this task and what we were going to make the interview about. Emily and Rob were going to be the actors and Rachel and I were going to be in charge of the camera work.
The camera work was good and the camera was kept stable. The shot reverse shot worked well, however Emily should have been on a lower chair as it looks as if she is the one in power, when it is actually Rob.
Are main aim was to acheive match on action, I feel we managed this particular thing well, it didnt seem out of time and this can be quite hard to do.
There was also a woman in the background and it would have been better if a different location could have been used.
There was also a bit of sound cut off, this was because Rob was talking, it would of been better if we had of reshot this scene. Also where we hear Emily’s footsteps it cuts out at one stage and doesn’t sound the same as before so this could be changed.
I would also say the lighting over all was quite good, apart from the scene with the interview in, the light should have been changed to make Emily's and Rob's faces stand out more.
